Kettle Foods expands, seeks new pollution permit

Kettle Foods is expanding its Salem potato chip factory, according to a report by the Statesman Journal newspaper


The facility is adding four large batch-cook fryers to the current 12 small and two medium fryers, along with two centrifuges, which remove surface oil from the chips. When completed, the facility will be able to process 100,236 tons of raw potatoes per year.
