Attendees and local students will receive the new virtual reality camera viewers

Mountain West Investment Corporation has donated 1,000 Google Cardboard™ virtual reality (VR) camera viewers for the upcoming SEDCOR ENVISION 2016 corporate dinner in Salem, Ore. on Tuesday, May 3, 2016. This innovative product from Google was featured recently on the Today show.

As presenting sponsor, Mountain West increased its support for ENVISION 2016 by providing a viewer for every student at Salem’s Career Technical Education Center and each dinner attendee.

“These viewers not only allow people to view the world differently, but they can make anyone a virtual reality photographer,” said George Jennings, Counsel to the President, Mountain West Investment Corporation. “We wanted to give the region’s current and upcoming business leaders access to this awesome experience.”

At the May 3 event, Darren Pleasance, Global Customer Acquisitions Director for Google will explore how companies must radically adapt to meet the future needs of stakeholders and customers. His message will challenge leaders’ perspective of technology’s impact on business and provide a glimpse of the future.

Pleasance will visit Salem’s Career Technical Education Center earlier that day to speak with more than 500 students about building and inspiring their lives. Every student in attendance will receive a viewer.

ENVISION 2016 is produced by Strategic Economic Development Corporation, the Mid-Willamette Valley’s lead economic development organization. Organizers anticipate more than 500 people will attend the region’s premier dinner event for business leaders. Eight supporting sponsors have assisted in bringing this global leader to the region.
