Statesman Journal: SEDCOR event helps business prepare for "big one"

About 130 people packed into the Grant Room at Broadway Coffeehouse Wednesday for a discussion on combating natural disasters, wrote Brandon Southward of the Statesman Journal newspaper.

"Strategic Economic Development Corp. (SEDCOR) was launching its series “Cascadia: Oregon’s Greatest Natural Threat” which is aimed at rallying businesses to work with state and local emergency agencies to help prepare for the effects of a natural disaster on the scale of a Cascadia subduction zone earthquake," Southward reported.


"The event coincided with Gov. Kate Brown proclaiming September as “Natural Preparedness Month” and supporting a Cascadia playbook that will guide state agencies to support businesses and communities on how to prepare for and respond to natural disasters."
