Jet Industries held its 3rd Client Appreciation Golf Tournament on Friday, August 21 at Illahe Hills Country Club in Salem, Ore. Through the support of Jet Industries and its partnerships, $180,000 was raised for the local non-profit organization Home of the Brave, making this their most successful fundraiser ever.

“The Jet Industries family is very fortunate to be a part of this influential cause in supporting the military men and women that have sacrificed so much for our freedom,” said Jeff Zeeb, Owner of Jet Industries.

The tournament theme was in recognition of the men and women that have served our country in the past and those currently serving. The event included a static display of Oregon Army National Guard vehicles and many Oregon Army National Guard men and women dressed in their fatigues.

One of the highlights of the event was a Bell 214ST helicopter delivering graduates of the Home of the Brave program. LTC Dominic Kotz and MAJ Abe Gilman from our Oregon Army National Guard greeted and escorted the HOTB guys to the reception.

Home of the Brave’s mission is to serve, assist and create support for the homeless veterans of Salem by providing homeless veterans with an opportunity to reintegrate back into society through the development of skills, personal growth, recovery, self-reliance, productivity, community involvement and residential stability. Home of the Brave was created by two local veterans, Ben Grimmer, Executive Director, United States Marine Corps, and Gerald Pygott, Deputy Director, United States Navy. "Our motto here at Home of the Brave is 'Serving Those That Served Our Country", said Grimmer. "This program was designed to allow private individuals to donate to our cause and address a national issue in their own community. We operate with the structure and discipline of a military unit.”

Jet Industries is a successful design build mechanical, electrical, fire sprinkler and engineering contractor. What began as a small family-run heating company founded in 1977 by Aaron Zeeb has eventually grown into one of the largest companies of its type in the country, with over 500 employees.
